First Italian Festival of Artistic Teddy Bears

"Novellara, capital city of Teddy Bears, the nice little bears which own their name to the 26th President of the USA, Theodore Roosevelt, called Teddy. On March 20/21, sponsored by the city Council of Novellara, the first edition of the Teddy Bears contest 2004 took place...
The subject was "Teddy Bears in peluche": lined up like in an imaginary museum, linked by the Arianna thread of the three categories: undressed Bears, Fancy dress ball, dressed Bears.
The exhibition was surrounded by the trescoes of the Council Hall, crowded by the participants from all over Italy and also from abroad, anxiously waiting for the verdict of the jury presided over by the Dutch journalist Anna Koetse, who did not fail to praise the Italian creativity...
scene of real incredulity and hardly retrained tears during the prize awarding...

  Venetian brocade, copper, silk, cotton and linen threads, glass pearls, mountain rivers' pebbles,
  shells from the sea-floor in Poetto, the beach near Cagliari: entire Italy, from North to South.
